This reissue of the original edition is also available in a specially designed, cloth-covered slipcase desirable as a design object in its own right. The Volume edition features the same Paul Rudoph image that appeared on the 1976 edition, but is protected in a cloth-bound slipcase, conceived with an entirely new, exclusive design that captures the vitality and wisdom of Banham’s vision.
Conveying both the manifestolike character of Banham’s words and the imagery of the visionary architecture they consider, the slipcase edition will only be available in a limited quantity.
In addition to the two editions of the book, Volume has unearthed a rarely seen colour version of Paul Rudolph’s iconic image. Available in a limited quantity, bundled with the collector’s edition, this is an exciting opportunity to own a small piece of a very large vision, a present reminder of past visions of the future.
