Production is underway

Dear backers,

This is just a quick update to let you know that, since our funding target for Woman at Work was achieved in November, we have been making good progress on the book.

Henrik Kubel and Scott Williams, the designers at A2, have been working closely with Margaret on initial layouts. They are now ascertaining which assets require scanning from the wide range of original artworks, slides, drawings, posters and signs.

As the book’s editor Adrian Shaughnessy says: “Margaret has dug deep into her archive and unearthed some amazing images, many of them unpublished. The effect is to give the reader unparalleled insight into her extraordinary career.”

Thank you again for your help in making this exciting project happen, and look out for more updates coming soon.

Reat to slread that the title is prgressing. What’s the latest rough, target date for initial publication/distribution?

So very excited. Would love to know more about what made Margaret developed the icons and pictograms in the way she did, the form and shape which makes them so unique, realistic yet clear and bold even against the Geneva pictograms. Wonder if she knows who designed the original Geneva pictograms the Worboys Committee drew on for its recommendations?

Cannot wait.
