Campaign extended
Dear supporter,
Thanks again for pledging towards our campaign to create an exhaustive oral history of the rhythm game gaming phenomenon sparked by Guitar Hero and Rock Band. As you’ll have no doubt noticed we have raised an impressive 55% of our funding goal in the past few weeks, but with just two days remaining on the clock, it appears we will not hit our target.
We’ve discussed the project and given that pledges have still been rolling in even at this late hour, we’re encouraged to extend the campaign and see if we can’t hit the funding target by early-August. Everyone involved in developing this book – not least author Blake Hester and designer Rejane Dal Bello – have put in an enormous amount of work to get this campaign off the ground, so we want to give it one last push and see if we can’t make this happen.
The campaign has now been extended until Wednesday August 7th. We’re going to do our utmost to spread the word and ensure everyone who may have once wielded that iconic plastic axe hears about the book – if you could also shout loudly about our cause via your own social networks, we’d be eternally grateful for your support.
We’ll check back in as we approach the extended deadline to let you know if this final push gets us over the line. Raise your lighter aloft as we begin what we hope will be a majestic encore!

20 more days please!!! I wanna see this get fully funded so bad, you have no idea. This book is about to be legendary, if anything can i pay the author directly for the text?
The extension is GREATLY appreciated, but another one will be needed! I really hope this campaign reaches it’s goal as I want to read this very badly. Great work to the team putting everything together. Keep it up.
reallly hope this one makes it!!
Please consider including ebook formats in the campaign! I know it’ll take even more work to convert, but even at $60 this is can be a hard sell. There are a lot of folks who want to see this succeed and could help clear the bar!
Hell yeah! I have been super bummed that this wouldn’t get funded and would thus never see the light of day. Really excited about this! Have tried to spread the word!
