Shipping News: Deluxe Edition

Dear Sega Mega Drive/Genesis: Ultimate Works pre-orderer,

It’s time. The Deluxe Edition of Ultimate Works has arrived at our warehouse and will be shipping out to you imminently. We’re delighted with how the package has turned out and I hope it’ll be a prized part of your Sega collection.

I’m certain you’ll take a sharp intake of breath at first sight of the screen-printed acrylic slipcase, which will arrive covered in a peel-off sheet of protective film for that added dash of unboxing satisfaction… 

I have one disappointing piece of news which I hope won’t ruin your enjoyment of the edition – as you’ll have noted, the book comes with an archival print of Hitoshi Yoneda’s incredible Phantasy Star IV artwork, which he had agreed to sign as part of this special limited edition, however sadly, for personal reasons Yoneda-san was ultimately unable to sign the prints – we tried everything we could to make this happen but unfortunately it just wasn’t possible. My sincere apologies for the disappointment – should there be a future ROM edition (or something currently available in our webshop) that I can offer a discount for, please just drop me a line at darren@readonlymemory.com and I’ll ensure you’re looked after. As a diehard Mega Drive fan myself, I’m gutted we couldn’t deliver on this aspect of the print.
