Tories are Lying to You billboard fragments

Dear Led By Donkeys supporter,

Congratulations on securing one of the 1,000 Sunlit Uplands Editions of Led By Donkeys’ retrospective publication, Adventures in Art, Activism and Accountability. We are now in the final stages of production, with copies due to ship out very soon.

The Led By Donkeys team are currently in the process of signing 1,000 fragments of the famous ‘Tories are Lying to You’ billboard campaign, to be included with each of our very special Sunlit Uplands Editions. Each fragment will be packaged with the book in a special custom envelope – an original souvenir of the collective’s unique output.

We will be in touch soon as we begin shipping. Until then, thank you again for supporting this unique account of Led by Donkeys’ important works of artistic activism.

I’ve followed LBD since the beginning of their meteoric rise to the forefront of political activism. They’ve done so with panache, an eye for detail and extraordinary humour in the face of a brutal Tory regime. Their work is essential. Their work is funny. It all deserves recognition, and these are a few of the reasons I needed to own this book.

On Alison Green commented:

How exciting! I’m very much looking forward to this. You guys have been a light in the darkness of Tory rule – and even though I’m a Kiwi these days rather than a Pom – it’s been awesome to watch you work. Such an inspiration. We could do with you all coming over here for a bit and sorting out our awful new “government”. Thank you for everything you do – it’ll be fascinating to read all the behind-the-scenes stuff. Don’t ever stop!

On Jon Burrell commented:

On Bob Carney commented:

It is a long time since i have felt so excited by an imminent release.
LBD, the greatest activism ever.

On Mike Crouch commented:

To mix metaphors: you have so often been a lighthouse in the dark miasma of grim domestic & international events, always hitting the nail on the head. Can’t wait to receive the book & poster piece. Keep up the good work!

On David Johnson commented:

Please, Please, Please more of the Truss “That’s not funny” because it was the best joke of the year

On Matthew Edmunds commented:

This had gone to the back of my mind, now I’m all excited again! You’re a focal point of decency and fairness! Iechyd da!

On Jon Marylebone commented:

I love to see the artful and inventive ways that you find to expose the absurd, the ridiculous and the outrageous. Please don’t stop, anyone in public office who abuses it deserves the LBD treatment!

On Elke Blommaert commented:

On the off chance you do take requests: I’d love a piece of ear or nose.
I would frame it and hang it in the loo.
Thanks for shining a light on injustice & stupidity, for deflating the pompous and for making me laugh.

On Paul Daly commented:

The Tory-Cons in bits – after their fits at being called out yet again – sits well with me! Thank you for all that you do – humour to hack lies wins the prize! Pxx
