Permissions process

Dear backer,

The book is coming along well. We’ve now finished the first draft and are nearing the end of the permissions process, meaning almost all of the images are in place and licensed for the book. It’s been a long task getting to this point, but it feels like a real milestone.

A lot of this material simply doesn’t exist anywhere else, in print or online. This has made the research and permissions process slower than expected, but it’s exactly what will make the final product worth the wait.
